What is this all about?
This is an invitation to three online sharing meetings (for now) to discuss experiences in implementing activities focusing on gender equality in the context of development cooperation.
The first exchange (max. 2 hours) will take place on 14.11.2024 (details below). The dates for the next two exchanges will be agreed at the meeting.
Why would you be interested in participating?
Many organisations have developed gender policies and gender activities, or even (so-called) Gender Marker 2 projects (referring to the OECD-DAC Gender Marker, where Gender Marker 2 means that the principal aim of a project is gender equality). Putting what is on paper into practice is a big task. WIDE therefore provides a virtual space to share experiences from practice. Everyone implementing or supporting gender activities is warmly invited to this meeting!
Why should we share our experiences?
For WIDE, sharing means opening a confidential space where we can talk about challenges and even failures and receive solidarity and support – but certainly also where we can celebrate successes together. Further, we believe that we can draw some general lessons from the shared experiences that can help all participants to advocate for the necessary support and appropriate conditions to implement gender equality activities.
